Are you looking to get certified on your next visit to Isla Mujeres or Cancun?  Isla Mujeres is the terrific place for doing your open water certification or completing your open water training dives.  Many of our reefs are at the perfect training depth (30ft)!  This allows you to enjoy the beauty of the Mexican Caribbean while completing your certification!

We are one of only two dive shops here on Isla Mujeres with our own full-time PADI instructor.  Most other dive shops contract out for instructors based on demand--meaning that the quality of their training can vary considerably. 

Arturo Delfin is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with over 16 years of teaching experience and many more years of diving experience...so you know that you'll be learning to dive with someone with extensive experience! Having lived for several years in the U.S., he speaks fluent English. He has also worked and taught scuba certifications in the U.S. diving industry.

How much time does the certification course require?

The PADI Open Water Diver certification can be completed in 4-5 days. Normally, students spend 3-4 hours in the morning conducting their skills and training dives and then spend 1-2 hours in the late afternoon or evening completing their academic. The reading can be completed at any time--at home (before your vacation) or even while you're on the beach! Classes are private or semi-private.

Is equipment included with the course?

Yes, everything you need is included with the course. Our rental gear is of excellent quality. We even include free wetsuit rental.

What do I need for a referral to complete my open water training dives? 

You must bring your universal referral form, which is completed by your academic and confined water training instructor. You should also bring 2 passport size pictures to submit to PADI for your c-card.

Open Water Referral US$195 
For students who have already completed academic & confined water training.

PADI Scuba Diver US$250 
This is new certification level offered by PADI which is valid for 1 year. This course can be completed in 2 days. It is ideal for those individuals who want to get started diving, but don't have time to complete the lifetime certification.

PADI Open Water Diver US$340 
This is a lifetime certification! The course is completed in 4-5 days. This price includes the open water manual. You may also purchase your manual at home!

2 days of diving, no academic!
